Post-Match Thread and Ratings Dagenham & Redbridge 3-0 Southend United

1. A pundit who got you a CEO which you didn't have for 5 years. The alternative if wasn't there? Unthinkable.

2. A pundit who has a recruitment head ready who's knows every player in the nation who can be extricated from their clubs to bring in quality. He walked into Grimsby in pre season, the oldest squad in the division and brought 8 recommended in. They are top of the league.

3. A pundit who's managed to persuade the owner to take a back sead in order to not inflame a tense situation.

4. A pundit who can speak to anyone in this sport within 30 minutes and who's built relationships with clubs over years who have already committed to helping us as and when.

5. A coaching trio who we had to sell the club vision to, none of whom were in a hurry to leave their clubs without hearing from a football man that a structure would be in place.

6. A pundit who's had 300 emails from scouts, managers, recruitment specialists, players all wanting to get involved.

7. A pundit who's been to 500 clubs at home and abroad learning and understanding how clubs are run, their strictures, things they've done well and not. Invited in by all.

8. A pundit who has only ever offered 3 clubs help and delivered for each. Delivered.

9. A pundit who's given you more clarity and information as to what the stench is at Southend, relaying that to the lever so that there's a fighting chance of rid of the chancers, schemers and malintents at the club. Without identifying them it's not relegation you'd have to worry about, it's bankruptcy.

19. A pundit who's had "yes, we'll help" from every club he's contacted rather than the "Southend? Hahaha" that is the image your club has inflicted on itself with toxic chancers who've walked through the door

If I were you I'd have a long hard look at yourself and find out where I've suggested I'm a messiah or where I've strolled in acting like one .

I've offered real time help to turn a situation around that is one of the most embarrassing and reckless declines I've seen in football for decades. A lesson in self destruction, poor planning, woeful hires, zero structure and a reckless disregard for honesty and integrity.

I didn't cause this, I walked out of Roots Hall leaving you with £3.5 million from A £150k outlay within 6 months . I don't come with the stench of failure that has been so readily accepted at the club. Nor will I, I've never been involved with any club that's been relegated at any level abd I won't start now.

This morning, my Mom, in a care home fell and smashed her face in. I came to Dagenham instead of going to the Midlands. She's in hospital and I'm driving back now, then back south to continue to work on solutions for you to moan and cry about. When my Sister died of cancer while I was at Southend, I was given unlimited time off. I took not one day off because I wanted to do my job properly. So I'd ease off on questioning my character or ability or professionalism.

Be careful what you wish for, dumping on people offering help isn't acceptable.

Because qualified people at the club have served you so well, haven't they?

Have some damn respect.

Stanley Victor Collymore.

Stan, please keep up the hard work mate. The VAST majority of fans have been given a huge boost since you got involved and are fully behind what you are trying to implement.

Sadly it seems there are a minority who aren’t happy unless there’s something to moan about. Ignore them. Their moans will be drowned out by the adulation if you manage turn this ship around.

Course it is true. Maher, Currie and Bentley have had two full days to turn this round and have failed to do so. Sack them all now. ?

Nice to see that you are giving the new management team time then Bluegoose ?
Sacked in the morning.

Let’s look at Daniel Farke. He is an outstanding manger. If Norwich stand by him he will probably win the championship next season.

But without better players.....

I thought we matched them in the first half and although not wonderful football we went in at half time even.
Then it just went down hill from there and once the first goal went in heads went right down and yet again we ended up chasing the game.
Some of the mistakes today were down to simple individual errors that should never ever have happened. I only popped to the toilet and by the time I returned we were 3-0 down.
Poor Kevin and his coaches having to work with some of these players who are just not good enough but, let’s give him the time to try and turn things around.

I can understand people’s frustrations watching this team but please don’t call them “Useless, hopeless ” etc as they walked off the pitch. They heard every word and you could see they heard the comments I think they know themselves it was not a good day and does nothing for confidence.

Well done all those travelling today and great turnout.
Quote of the day came from Akinola who walked past us at the end and quite simply said “f***ing embarrassing”

Just home and although very disappointed I am certainly not suprised by the result as sadly at the moment Daggers have better and crucially more confident players than us. After a quite even first half we capitulated in very early in the second half. The new coaching team certainly need time to improve some of these players and hopefully sign some better one's.

Although a good away following again I personally was disappointed with the backing they gave the team as quite for long periods but more than that I thought the we got the ball we lost the ball chant along with the normal your nothing special we loose every week is just not good for players devoid of confidence to hear. Clearly Seaden did not have a good game but the ironic cheers and also some of the abuse he received leaving the pitch was just wrong !.

Not many positives from today but possibly ithis makes Stan's stronger for the talks next week as this game highlighted for all to see the desperate need to sign some better players.

Stan always remember (as I suspect you know all too well) there are and always will be a few who will only see the negative. We sometimes think because they are loud their opinion is representative of more than a few. And, of course, they can always identify the problem but never the solution..

Of the vast majority on here who do post, and the much bigger silent minority who rarely post and probably are the most sensible of us all, you have I'm sure the support of the vast majority. There is an ignore button on the Zone, you will inevitably be tempted to use, it but i suspect you wont. I see your passion, and as a result on occasion you may wear your heart on your sleeve. I say this "Don't let the buggers get you down!!"

Stan…
You really do not need to justify your involvement or commitment to this club to these trolls.

The real fans know that you are the real deal and the genuine supporters of this club know you are dedicated and passionate about dragging this club, our club from the depths it is currently in.

Please focus on the significant majority of us that support you as we do our club and forget about the doubters.

Onwards and upward mate!

We fight on.

PS: Sorry to hear about your mum. Godspeed mate !

I am very much in the "Martin out camp" but I respect the fact that until he delivers fossetts and gets his pay day, he isn't going anywhere.

I also think that recent protests have had a positive effect in PB being dismissed and the

Give him the job, then it's 'when' not 'if' he turns this ship around .... I have full confidence in SVCs ability and as they say ..... passion sells, Stan can sell to anyone!!

Nobody is suggesting otherwise

But don't ever question my motives without evidence to the contrary and likewise experience in this sport over 30 years.
I was careful in my choice of words which is why I wrote 'opinions and actions'
I did not use the word motives because I do not question them. The fact I do not question your motives is surely implied by the words I used at the beginning: 'desperately want you to succeed and appreciate your efforts'

We should forget everything about Stan Collymore. Where has he been the last 2 seasons we have been struggling. Why wait until now to try a come and be the Messiah?
Thought there would have been some new Manager effect from the team. Just shows how far off we are.
If we had forget about Stanley we proberly would not have Tom Lawrence, if we did not have Stanley we properly would not have the 3 managerial staff. Stanley has not recently come to the club, he has been trying with this club on and of since 2003.

Why can't people talk back to Stan Collymore? Anything people don't agree with he throws the Dolly out of his pram. It seems to me that he will eventually fall out with everyone at the club. This has been proven everywhere he has ever been employed in the past.

Wishing your mum well @StanleyVictorCollymore. Please don’t respond to the trolls. You’ve dealt with crap about stuff in your life for ages and don’t rise to the bait so just accept that some will not agree with you or share the optimism most of us have and leave them to their opinions.
