Adam Wallace

Adam Wallace has been placed on the transfer request by mutual agreement in view of a career change that will prevent his full commitment to Salisbury City.

Managare Barry Blankley said "We are sorry to see Adam on his way, as his attitude and commitment could not be faulted, but we must recognise that his new job makes it difficult for him to continue here."

Another one who was never really given a chance under Newman. He had a good background, coming from Southampton's Youth Academy which is one of the best in the country.

He seemingly looked a good signing when he arrived, as he did well for Southampton's youth side, was top scorer for their reserves before doing well for our reserves. For some reason though I agree Newman didn't give him a proper chance. A shame really, if he had have been, who knows, he could've easily still been playing in the league or at least at Conference level.

The Tilbury boss is interested in signing him according to my source.

He's an interesting fact for you as well - the Tilbury boss is also the Tilbury FC newspaper reporter.

That's like Chris Phillips managing Southend. Wonder if he will start a campaign to get himself sacked?

I bet some of his columns are an interesting read after a defeat.

Fully agreed there. Looked a handy little player in the handful of reserve games I saw him in.

Adam Wallace has joined Nationwide South side Basingstoke Town in a deal lasting until the end of the season. He joins fellow ex-Shrimper Neville Roache at the Camrose.

Salisbury City had placed Wallace on the transfer listby mutual agreement at the end of February after the striker opted for a career change that would have prevented his full commitment to the club. His contract was ultimately cancelled on 11 March; he had scored 54 goals in 113 appearances for the Whites.
