Just had an e-mail from a friend in Kent saying that Southend will be signing Dean Beckwith early next week,currently out of contract after being released by Gillingham.Don't know anything about him,believe him to be 22yrs.Anyone know him?

I'd be VERY surprised if we wanted him. He's failed to make the breakthrough at Gillingham and hardly stood out when at Dagenham. He's taylor made for a move to the Conference seemingly.
