Not sure about the accuracy of some of the statistics though.

For instance, apparently, Adam Barrett only made 9 appearances for the team, and Mark Beard only 6.

And the fact that even I remember Mike Angus means that he must have made more than the stated 0 appearances too.

Haven't checked them all out myself, I was actually looking for Colin Flatt and came across many names I had forgotten. 809 Players Listed for Southend United. Still nice to see their names. COYB.UTB.

It seems that what it displays in the summary page relates to only one of the players spells with us. If you click into Adam Barrett's career, it shows all of his appearances, and the '9' one viewed in the summary page relates to his last. The one shown for Mark Beard relates to his initial loan with us, but click into his careers stats show the rest.

Mike Angus played one game in the old Milk Cup . I seem to remember a player in the dark days in the 80s when Southend signed a player , he was in the team picture but had gone before the season started . Just remembered as I was writing this his name was Phil Cavener .
