Jimmy Thomson

Suffolk Shrimper In Dorset

Director⭐⭐🦐
Met up yesterday in Dunblane (whilst on holiday in Scotland) with 94 year old Jimmy Thomson.
Jim scored our winner in the FA Cup third round v Liverpool in 1957 ... 68 years ago!
He remains sprightly, lives at home with one of his sons, and one of his granddaughters flew in from her home in Germany for the occasion.
They made my wife and I really welcome, and lots of footie chat (put up some excerpts of it all on SUEPA Facebook) about times long in the past which still mean so much to him, and we presented him with a little momento of his time as a Shrimper
Jim is our second oldest player alive and is in the top 40 of oldest footballers in the UK.
