anyone actually recieved this yet? Also i today recieved some badges from a blackpool fan, with the blues on. Has anyone else got any LDV badges??

The badge that they never actually got in the club shop. havent heard a peep from them, and i along with prob a few other people ordered it.

I too was told that the club would be ordering 1000 enamel badges to commemorate the LDV Final. When they did not appear, I asked Mr King what had happened. He said that he was unaware that the club had considered enamel badges and on investigation he said that there were never any plans to order any.

For the record, I know that a number of different badges were issued - Blackpool FC issued two badges and Blackpool supporters clubs issued another 6 plus there was another private issue mentioning Southend, before the event. After the event I have seen another 9 Blackpool winners badges of which 3 mentioned Southend United.The Shrimpers Trust issued the one badge, expecting the club to do one. Does anyone have any more information?

I have all those mentioning Southend plus the Trust one.

hi Terry, yeah that would be great if you could sort out a few scans. any chance you could scan a couple of the rarer badges as well. i have aquired a few recently including the 1971 russian tour badge. i think you have it but its a great item. thanks Terry

SoTW, what are the rarer badges?

I have 7 different colour 1971 Russian tour badges and 7 different colour 1972 Zenit Leningrad tour badges. I bought each set at source as a complete set but I now understand that other colours were added on the 2nd set as they are very popular with Palace fans. Which colours do you have? Any spares?

Can't scan at the moment but will work something out when i can. I am now working on a Southend United badge catalogue so i will need to see your collection at some time to swap notes etc.,

Ok no problems terry, well i have only one russian badge, but yeah if you need any scans or anything then i can get them done for you, prob have about 30 badge at d mo. The catalogue is a great idea, id love to see all the badges that i dont have.

I have too many collections, some of which will have to go. Shirts will be some way down the line though!!

I would of course be prepared to swap most things out of my collection for Southend badges, even a Firholm shirt!
