Simon Stone at the BBC seems to think that the National League may have joined the EPL in lobbying against the independent football regulator.

the national leauge And the EFL got to grips with 3up 3 down .The 2 up 2 down is far outdated All the other EFL has 3 up 3 down untill you get to leauge 2 and the national leauge .iIts time for change and the sooner the better .Thats only my opinion .

Everyone in this league knows the promotion rules. We might not like it but there they are. Fear not the play offs are still mathematically possible and Cher even wrote a song about it for us (and I’ll get my coat).

I don't think posts #5 and #6 have got anything to do with the point I was making, to be honest. And if you do want to move to three up, three down in the NL, they can't deliver that without the express agreement of the EFL and (probably) the FA.

My point was that the saga of your club's change of ownership had dragged on for a full season (arguably longer, actually), and from the outside it is difficult to see what pressure the NL has brought to bear, or what leadership it is actually providing to the League as a whole.

I dare say none of this will come up over canapés in the House of Lords.

I’m with you for a future change but the flip side is if you’re struggling regularly in L2 you will hardly be minded to agree to a 3 down change.
