Northampton Town

A team 5 points behind us, with several of our rivals still to play, but NOT us, signing a goalscorer. Sound fine to me.

Kirk may possibly take a few more points off the teams around us playing for the Cobblers than he would have for Boston.

If Northampton catch us it will be down to us, it is for us to lose.

I hope this move benefits us , the only worry would be if we slip a little and we meet in the play offs.

I think its too much for NTFC to finish in top 3 now with the run-in they got now.
You've kind of negated your own arguments there, haven't you?

Unless you're expecting them to turn over the top teams and then get turned over themselves by teams lower in the league?

I agree. We're in a great position with ten games to go, let's not worry too much about the others.

As for earlier comments about their ground, it is a soul-less shell, but it also worries me that any new ground we might ever get would be similarly dull

To be fair to Northampton I think I've only been more impressed by Scunthorpe of all the teams who have come to the Hall all season. How they din't beat us at home I'll never know. They've got a good side and with Kirk there I fancy them to kick on and really challenge for a top three place.
