Looking at these highlights it looks like Oldham missed a lot of good chances, and very poor defending for their 3rd goal.

That was hard to watch. It's Boreham Wood rather than Bristol Rovers next season. Gutted.

3rd goal a complete fluke, however up until the subs I think we were fortunate to be level to be honest, but then unfortunate to lose in the last 3rd of the game (last 15 mins and extra time).

I think their pen was probably correct, but then the one on KAF should also have been. Just clipped his heels, when he is 6 yards out with just the keeper to beat.

As thought on the way home Oldham deserved the win.
They had the better chances, Hayes made a great save, Walker really should have scored but Oldham missed two if not three sitters. Hard to argue differently. They should have had a penalty in the first half, with VAR Miley would have seen red. Goodliffe ive been a huge fan of this season but he had a shocker at just the wrong time. See people criticise Hayes for the third goal which is ridiculous. You will see that type of goal scored every week. if im right the only southend highlights are the Og for 1-0, the goal for 2-1 and Walkers chance. 3 chances in 120 mins of note

those highlights didn't reflect all that went on in the game, which is inevitable in trying to get 120 minutes down to 10. we had more chances than that
