By Chris Phillips. Chief sports reporter.

GUS Scott-Morriss says Southend United will come back stronger after suffering play-off agony at Wembley.

The Shrimpers will still be in the National League next season after suffering a 3-2 defeat against Oldham Athletic.

But Blues' player of the year Scott-Morriss is keen to go again next term.

"We’ve been knocked down before and I’m sure we will come back stronger," said Scott-Morriss.

"After11 months of graft it wasn’t meant to be.

"Fair play to Oldham for getting it done.

"But the support the fans have shown this year has been incredible and we will come back from this, I'm sure."

Will you still be a Shrimper next season, Gus? And do you promise to score as many goals? And when will you get rid of that ridiculous p0rñ star moustache?
