Ten yard rule scrapped

The rule of moving free kicks forward ten yards due to dissent has been scrapped. This is supposedly due to non playing Rugby nations not understanding the point of it. What absolute cobblers!

Personally I think this a bad move. I suppose we'll be saved from a few, what with Maher about though.

I agree that this is a bit of a backwards step, although the rule was never enforced on a consistent basis, with some referees ignoring it altogether.

I'd like to see their idea for a replacement rule to tackle the increasing problem of dissent....
