BOSTON UNITED - Saturday 8 January 2005
BY ROAD : Take A127 out of Southend to the M25 and head anti-clockwise to junction 27 (M11). Take the M11 northbound carriageway and continue past Cambridge until the motorway merges into the A14 northbound. Join the A1(M) at junction 13a and continue northbound towards Peterborough. After about 17 miles take the A47 eastbound towards Peterborough. After 7 miles take the A15 north to Market Deeping and join the A16 to Boston. On entering Boston, go over a railway crossing and bear right at the following set of traffic lights (SP : Boston College). Go over the small Haven bridge and straight along JOHN ADAMS WAY (dualled). The flooodlights of the ground can be seen on the right. At the next set of traffic lights, turn right into MAIN RIDGE before taking the next right into YORK STREET. The car-park at the ground is for permit holders only; the advice is to use one of the nearby town centre pay-and-display car-parks.
Distance : 145 miles - allow 3 hours.

BY RAIL :  GNER services leave London Kings Cross for Grantham, where you need to change and take a Central Trans service to Boston. The whole journey should take about 2¼ hours. The ground is about 10 minutes from the station. Head down STATION STREET towards the church tower. Bear right past the police station and head over the footbridge over the river. Turn right up an alleyway into CHURCH LANE. Pass the Britannia Inn and continue into SOUTH STREET. Take a left turn into SPAIN LANE and continue to the end where you will come to a dual carriageway and see the ground ahead of you.

After passing the Swan & Cemetary pub and some playing fields, you'll be looking to turn right into GIGG LANE just before the next set of traffic lights.
