I'm looking at going to my first Essex game next Sunday in the last One Day game against Worcestershire. It's taken a long while to get round to getting to one!

I've a few questions of course:

What's the ticketing situation? Do you just buy a ticket and wander around when you feel like it!?

How would you advise buying the tickets? Internet, over the phone or would there be tickets available on the day as the trophy is being presented I understand?

Where abouts is recommended to park?

What's the situation with what happens with the weather? Any kind of refund etc? Depending on how long is played whatever?

Cheers for any help and sorry for the stupid questions! http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

At Chelmsford, parking is a right pain in the arse when I went, as the majority of the town is parking for locals. You cant go in certain areas, which are reserved for members. I'm guessing there's a full refund should there be less than 10 overs or something.

Cant answer the buying the ticket question though I hope the above helps

The tickets were booked today, so here's hoping for a double victory at the weekend and some good weather!

I live in Chelmsford, and used to live very close to the cricket ground. Genreall speaking the parking permit situation for locals is not in operation on a Sunday. If you approach the cricket ground and drive into New Writtle Street pass the cricket car park entrance and the Esporta health club, and take the first left, Baker St. I think and then turn right at the end at the Queen's Head pub into Bradford Street and you should be able to find a space around there. Failing that Upper Bridge Road will have somewhere to park.
