View Full Version : Apologies

All,

I've been sadly lacking in my SZFC duties in recent times. To cut a long story short (holiday aside) I'm fighting a battle at work and just about keeping my head above water. I haven't even had the opportunity to re-register or catch up with what's been happening and haven't used the PC at home since I got back from holiday. More on that later.

In the meantime I've just taken a phone call from the Manager of Shotgate FC (Sceptre League) who have a free week this Sunday and a pitch available at Beachamps school in Wickford. We have until 2pm to confirm whether we will be able to put a team out. I suspect in view of the FA Cup I know what the answer is going to be but if I get enough interest in the next hour this could change.

I'll log back on about 1.30 (I shouldn't be here !)

Although I haven't been training as I normally play on Sundays I should be free tomorrow if there's a game going (depending on ko time and if selected!)

Bloody hell he lives!!!

Glad to see you are out there ORM, I will NOT be able to make the match this Sunday, especially at this late notice. http://www2.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Anyway I need to give you a ring over the weekend to discuss what as happened in your absence. And your action points from the meeting before last.

I think I'm going to have to turn this down.

Their manager did ackowledge that they were late in notifying us. They thought they had a cup match only to find they were giving a bye.

On the plus side it proves that Kenny sticking our name of the Sceptre board has worked ! I've also got an open invitation from another Sceptre league club to play them under floodlights at Eastwood School one Tuesday night - (only for an hour) - better than a kick in the 'nads.

Gonna have to try to find time over the weekend to get in here and get myself urgently up to date.
