I think they are refurbishing it just to try to bring it up to league standards.

I was under the impression that they couldn't refurbish it to bring it to League standard and recently fought (unsuccessfully I believe) for the opportunity to build a new stadium ...

I heard the council won't let them build a stadium on the other side of Underhill. They are now appealing. But the club are tiding the ground up and should be ok for league football.

Could be the only way of keeping League football at Brisbane Road next season! http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I believe that league rules have been relaxed so that IF Barnet should become a league team they would then have a season or two to bring their ground up to standard.

I saw the Barnet goals on the news last night and it looked like they'd made some changes to their ground from the clips I saw. I'll see if I can find some pictures online.

I'd prefer Barnet to go up, but can't see Hereford losing in the play-offs.....

If Barnet & Aldersh*t ground are not ready for football league, they would'nt not enter the play-off. Why they are in the play-off then .... If Canvey finish top or play-off zone next season, they won't go up or enter the play-off as their ground is not ready for Football League unless they groundshare Root-Hall for them to go up (more money for Southend Utd the better).

I don't think they do but people probably prefer the journey to Barnet over and above the other 3.

Here's hoping!

Here's a very interesting PDF from Barnet about their future plans for Underhill and a new stadium.

Barnet Stadium plans (https://editorial.premiumtv.co.uk/content/bnet/media/db/DOC/333882.PDF)

The basic story is that the Football League have lowered their requirement for entry into the league from 6,000 to 4,000 rising to 5,000 after promotion meaning Barnet could get promoted.

Take a look at the file it's interesting.
