Any good?
Hope you all had fun. How long did the gaffer last!?
I did. Got lost in Basildon for an hour trying to find a field with a pitch on and a sh*t map. We started with 10 and finished with 9. I also recieved a yellow card in a 5-2 victory where 2 players were shown there marching orders. Very much an anti-climax to my Shoebury Boys career and now will hopefully be puttin' in 90% of effort into SZFC ... as i don't do 100%!!

Not a bad turn out for training as we have not had training for some weeks.
Winner of last man standing was Dave 19mins well done Dave in very hot conditions.
A few things to pick up from training.
Number 1. Ball control one of the basic things in football being able to control the ball when it is played to you,to many times yesterday the ball was lost through poor control. Number 2. Time on the ball for some reason we seem to think we have alot more time on the ball than we do this is not helped with the lack of talking in the team during the game yesterday when we had lots of time on the ball we managed to knock the ball around( both teams) as soon as we are put under pressure we lose it, again down to poor ball control lack of talking and lack of movement in the team. I hope that these things improve as we start mid week training but for those who would like to improve with your ball control a little tip is to get a ball in the back garden or any place you can find a wall and just keep hiting the ball against the wall start of slowly and just keep passing the ball to the wall and controling the rebound and then just increase how hard you hit the ball against the wall might sound very simple but it will improve your crontrol.
See you all on Wens

Long enough thanks, but not as long as I would have liked.
Weighed myself this morning and instead of the scales telling me I was a fat ******* they told me this morning I was a very fat *******. (13st 4 vs usual fat weight of around 12-1/2st). I need to cut the extras out again.
I enjoyed my first experience of first man standing, not as tough as I thought it would be. Unc, I think it would be useful to post everyone's times on here. It's better not to look at it as a competition against everyone else, but to look to beat your own time by at least 30 seconds each week.
This is a good measure of whether your stamina is building. In theory some of you should each be able to do at least 7-8 minutes more by the end of August than you did yesterday.
Yes. I know I know !
It is LAST man standing not FIRST.

If we are looking for an improvement next week I think my time was about 1 min 30 seconds. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

The thing is the intensity of LMS has varied, and so over the weeks, times go up and down, due to the amount of spritns etc Unc does.
Yesterdays was maybe the most intesnse so far, as im sure i remember about 4 or 5 ppl breaking the 20mins the last time we did this.

It was the heat Dave, as I've been well over 20 minutes every time so far, but had to take a break to get a drink yesterday.....

I found it ok, except me boots were giving me blisters, so i ran from about 13mins in just socks. Was ok then.
The heat was rather a bother, but played 90mins in corfu last year at 42 degrees so wasnt too bad.
