View Full Version : TRAINING FEES

After much deliberation at the last Committee Meeting it was decided that we will need to increase training costs to ensure we cover the hire charge of Boots n Laces and also increase the club's funds during high attendence weeks. We have decided on a fee basis which will cover both Sunday and Wednesday. So if you can only make one session you will still be expected to pay the same as if you came to both sessions. This will ensure that we will cover the hire charges every week. Otherwise we could find ourselves with 20 people turning up on a Sunday and only 8 on Wednesday which would not be good or fair to split the hire charge between the 8 who do turn up. In effect Sunday will be a free session if you make both.

If you are unable to make it to either sessions please inform the management prior to the start of training directly and not via someone else.

Due to actual costs being involved now we have increased the fee to £3 adult and £2 Conc.

Cool, but you need to define when the week starts for training, ie do we pay £3 on a Wednesday and that covers us for the following Sunday or do we pay £3 on a Sunday and that covers us for the following Wednesday?

Gotcha, cool, so those there on Sunday are only paying a pound tonight then?

If there is a shortfall in what was collected on Sunday, then yes it is expected the extra fee will be collected and if it comes to it I will collect the extra money, as per the last meeting.

Of course if you do not turn up on Sunday then your fee will be collectable on Wednesday. And all subs will be collected at the start of training, so be ready with the dosh. No pay no play!!

I didn't mean that, we only paid £2 on Sunday(Of course you'd know that if you hadn't been fannying about in Milan. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif ), so presumably theres another pound to pay tonight, and then £3 a week from then on in.

I realise that Steve but the fees to be collected on Sunday was meant to be £3 and £2 so if this was not the case then there has been a shortfall. Fees are due every Sunday for those who cant make it Sunday then we well of course take the cash on Wednesday, but we want Sunday to be the main day of cash handovers.

To be honest, this was an error on my part. But I used commonsense, as most people only had the exact amount needed (£2/£1) on Sunday, so I would have been collecting more in any case after Sunday, as no announcement had been made before Sunday.

So what I said was bring more money next Sunday to cover the training costs for this Wednesday and we can move forward from there. We have been making pure profit from training in any case, so it's not a massive issue.

So to my question 'so those there on Sunday are only paying a pound tonight then?' the simple answer was 'yes' then?

Yeah, damn those people who just want an answer to the question they asked, rather than an intricate detailing of the reasoning behind the decision made, without a direct answer to the question set.

As I was not present on Sunday due to swaning around Milano I could not give an answer as I do not know for certain how much was collected, all I know is what should have been communicated and collected.

I know Andee, no problem, I just wanted to know how much to bring tonight, and from now on.

So to summarise:

If you paid Sunday, you only bring £1 tonight, if you didn't £3/£2.

Then every week from now £3/£2 is collected on Sundays to cover both that Sunday and the following Wednesday, regardless of whether or not you can make it on Wednesday.

If you don't attend training on a Sunday but do on the following Wednesday, you pay £3/£2 on the Wednesday.

Correct?

But 50p a day from Sunday to Wednesday would only give us £2, and the other way round only £2.50!
