See once again Sri Lanka are tucking into the buffet bowling with relative ease
Only Harmison and Dalrymple doing anything with the ball of note.
Why do England keep playing Plunkett? 6 overs for 40 so far
Shouldnt England look to play their best team irrespective of age?
2007 WCup round the corner the likes of Gough, Hoggard and Jon Lewis could do a job yet are overlooked

Well, it's obviously a bit of a flat track up there - we're 135/2 in reply off 22 overs - more or less up with the run rate.

Oh yeah Surrey brushed aside Kent with ease in the 20/20
Winning by 107 runs http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
James Benning dispatching the Kent bowling attack to all parts of the Oval
I see Kent had a player called Matthew Walker playing for them http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Matthew Walker is a very decent opener for Kent, as it happens. *He was also Nelson's bo'sun on the HMS Victory, and gave his name to a particular type of knot. *Then there's this ole' chestnut:

"No, I've never been given one of those for Christmas before as a joke... honest... you're the first that's ever thought of that one..."

Alas, it's fair to say that Matthew Walkers are two-a-penny...

5th one-dayer England hit new depths
I think we lost, defending 325, in about 40 overs.
If the catereers at Roots Hall served up as many pies as the England bowling attack, our problems with queuing for the half-time pie would be solved.

Probably better suited elsewhere on this forum but the South Upper Catering is being reopened, and the club shop in the west stand is being converted back again.
