I don't think we will see Michael Vaughan back in England colours again, it is a great shame that he Giles & Simon Jones won't be there to help defend the Ashes.

I think that's a massive blow - not least because I think Freddy is too nice to win the Ashes.

Although we may not especially miss his skills as a player that much, it is obvious that he is an amazing captain, which i think has been shown on the form we have been on since he last played.

Couldn't agree more, his presence is vital. A bit like the Goat in my opinion, in terms of his influence and leadership was just as important as his actual contribution. I don't want to be too negative but I'm not holding my breath of retaining the trophy.
