It was all so different 10 years ago. Here's a post I found from 10 years ago, when the Internet was in its infancy...Dion Dublin at Roots Hall could have been excellent.

Why would Man Utd want this donkey when they've already got Dublin, a far superior player. Also, do you really think that Dion Dublin is going to agree to go to Southend? The guy is premier league standard (which is more than you can say for Collymore, a man marked out of the recent game against
Cambridge by Phil 'Calliper Legs' Chapple).
Give Dublin a chance, I'm sick of hearing every piece of transfer speculation involving Man Utd has Dublin in an exchange deal. The one above is just the biggest joke yet.
