Once again, you are horrifically wrong in your supposed facts. Internazionale lost at "home" in the San Siro to AC Milan on October 5, only 52 DAYS ago ... and they lost twice at home last season.

I dont mind losing to sh*t nations but Italy, France, Germany and Spain are the 'big' four i want to see beaten.

Lets hope Man Utd and Chelsea can seal qualification tonight and lets hope that Rangers go through as well, although it aint going to be easy ...

The way i see it is they are representing England, and therefore supporting them in Europe is, for me, close to supporting the national team. I will support them all in europe, but couldn't really give a monkeys what happens in the premiership

And i don't care whether Celtic or Rangers go through....

Used to go to Chelsea at lot in the past. Still have a lot of affection for them. Arsenal I also like to see do well being Southern. I despise the scousers so couldn&#39;t cheer them, same goes for United but I especially loathe Celtic. I hate those IRA supporting, tricolor waving, weegy scumbags with a passion. Don&#39;t dislike the Irish people just the team&#33;
I&#39;ll try and qualify my dislike. Until Jack Charlton came along football has never been that big in Ireland. It was traditionally about 4th or 5th in popularity after the horseracing, gaelic sports &amp; rugby. The ROI team went from being a poorly supported team with no pedigree to being an overnight success with a huge following. Why did these people suddenly latch onto football and why don&#39;t they correspondingly support their own clubs in Ireland (Bohemians, St Paddys etc) who to this day have poor support. What incenses me even more is Irish people supporting English / Scottish clubs. That&#39;s ridiculous. It&#39;s the equivalent of me deciding to support Rotterdam or Werder Bremen.

Oh and I&#39;ve never forgiven them for beating us in Euro 88&#33;

PS don&#39;t tell anyone but there&#39;s plenty of Irish ancestry in my family

Am I the only one swooning in disbelief at FM&#39;s comments?&#33;

On a corporate level, if there&#39;s one club that Arsenal would give their collective left gonad to emulate, it&#39;s Man U. Do you not think that in building a huge stadium, having (for a while) a Japanese sponsor and a former J-League manager tends to suggest, just a tad, that Arsenal would love to emulate Man U&#39;s global brand success?

After all, if it were simply about the football on a national level, they wouldn&#39;t be so obsessed about moving out of Highbury, and would instead be ploughing money into developing a youth squad (which Wenger has done so much to dismantle - whither Upson and Pennant, one must ask...) and signing players to cement their place in the Premiership.

Your one-eyed devotion does you credit as a fan, Luke; but does you no favours whatsoever in terms of your ability to provide objective commentary on Arsenal&#39;s position within English and indeed world football.

At least Ferguson instituted a youth system which provided the backbone of the England team (Beckham, Scholes, Butt, Neville... and in the future Brown) as well as bought British (notably, Ferdinand) - we can thank him for that. We can thank Wenger for nothing on that front - all he does is buy French (Campbell was a jammy freebie, a north London theft) and, with the excpetion of Ashley Cole, refuse to encourage his English talent (Upson, Taylor, Pennant) at the club.

To be honest, whilst it&#39;s nice to see British clubs do well in Europe, I can&#39;t say I&#39;m overly fussed whether they win or lose. They have nothing to do with me and my love of Southend United.

What do you mean first ENGLISH team.
Arsenal aren&#39;t an English team.

How can you be English when English isn&#39;t even the first language in the dressing room?
Your manager is French. Your best players - Henry and Viera -are French. Even your journeyman players - Wiltord, Cygan etc are French.

How many English players are there at Highbury? You&#39;ve Cole and Campbell (when not suspended). Parlour can&#39;t get into the side.
You&#39;ve try to ruin the career of every promising young England player you could get your hands on - Richard Wright, Matthew Upson, Jermaine Pennant, Francis Jeffers. They all got frustrated at being behind the French contingent at Arsenal, when they should have been forming the back-bone of the future England team. David Dein at the FA has also done his best to hinder English football.

I mean what is it coming to when the Republic of Ireland international team is more English than a supposed &#39;English&#39; club-side. When Arsenal relocate I expect this time it won&#39;t just be across the River Thames but will be across the Channel.
I for one won&#39;t miss them.

cr*p - its a misinterpretation of statistics because Man Utd have more supporters than Man City&#33;

Yes, Man Utd have more outside Manchester, but as I am aware it is fairly evenly split in Manchester, with the city of Manchester supporting City and the Suburbs supporting United.

Ie (figures are purely for example) Man City have 10 million fans worldwide - 3 mil live in manchetser, ie 30%

Man Utd have 100 million fans worldwide - 4 mil live in Manchester ie 4%

These figures are then manipulated to make it look like there are more City fans in Manchester....

No it&#39;s not, If this study was taken last year i.e Man City at Maine Road and not COM Stadium then it helps to demonstrate what im saying.

Old Trafford holds 68,000
Maine Road 36,000
COM Stadium 46,000

I always thought it was well known that most people supported City in Manchester.<span style='font-family:comic sans ms'>*Headbutts Desktop*

Not sure it&#39;s a fact, I just prefer to believe it myself to further justify my dislike of Utd.
What is totally true is that Utd draw in to**ers from all over the UK, and beyond to support them, But you can say much the same of all the big teams in the EPL.
Just to prove the point I was at Chelski several weeks ago and there were coaches from Belgium, Switzerland and several other European countries waiting to take fans (who clearly weren&#39;t cockneys or even English) back home.
It&#39;s big business and all the big clubs are looking to widen their fan bases. Where you&#39;re from is irrelevant these days, it&#39;s how much you have in your pockets that counts&#33;

Firstly, have you ever actually met him, and if you have, are you sure you didnt just spout drivvle at him and **** him off? http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Why should you be jealous? Er, cos&#39; he is a far, far better manager than Wenger will ever be, thats why. And many reasons supporting this have already been posted on this thread.

How can you call fergie a to**er. If he was sufc manager you would be saying he is a legand&#33; Just because he&#39;s your teams most hated manager theirs no need to call him a to**er. I think you are jelouse of him and what he&#39;s acheived.
As arsenal even though they have won 2 doubles are still not seen as being the best team in england&#33;

Look at fergies record. Ive read his biography and autobiography and its fasinating to see how much he has won. He halted the old firm stranglehold in scotland by winning tittles,cups and of course euro cup winners.
At manu he&#39;s won 7 tittles i believe , a few fa cups , 1 league cup, charity sheilds,cup winners cup and of course the big one the Champions league.

His team too is very british in his first 16: there are nevilles,butt,ferdinand,keane,butt,giggs,scholes,b rown. Its fergie who brought many of the best england players through.

Even now many youngsters are comming through there youth team e.g oshea and fletcher both excellant young players.

Sir fergie deserves out respect even if he&#39;s manu&#39;s manager.

I can&#39;t work out if Fergie is a to**er or not, can&#39;t understand a word he says &#33;

Can&#39;t stand Arse either, my fiance&#39;s brother is a &quot;fan&quot; (he lived in Kilburn for a year) and didn&#39;t know there was a 3rd division in England &#33; I bought him a Southend shirt last Christmas and he hung it on his wall....next to his Wet Spam shirt. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

I thought I pointed all that out to you earlier in the season Luke&#33; (Thanks to Steve for correcting him) Just because there&#39;s a higher percentage of City fans in Manchester in correspondance to the total fanbase doesn&#39;t mean that there are more City fans in Manchester.

Errr, why? Not because he&#39;s most successful British manager in the past twenty years and actually built something out of pretty much nothing at both Aberdeen and Manche&#036;ter United then?

And, yes, of course he and all Manche&#036;ter United fans are to&#036;&#036;ers - of course like all big clubs they have their armchair supporters, who in my experience can be to&#036;&#036;ers, but why is a Man United season ticket holder a to&#036;&#036;er?
