Just cant see anything other than a big Aussie win here.
Either way if they bat first they'll win by at least 50-75 runs, if they chase it will be over by 40 overs.
I see they are planning on dropping Joyce for Strauss.
Thought why not promote Freddy to opener?
Apart from Pietersen he's our only really over the top player, he used to open the innings for Lancs in limited overs games and always made a decent fist of it.

Not a bad shout, other teams mix up there team a lot more than we do, so if the suffer a collapse, it is not all over. Interesting theory. England have shown that they can compete for the 4th spot against Sri Lanka, however that could have been the best chance against them.
However, we have beaten the Aussies, and recently, which is something!!

You really can't see beyond an Aussie win in all truth. However England have beaten them in the last 3 CB series, so they will have hope in a two horse race.
I don't quite see the point in putting Freddie up to opener, it's well and good scoring runs for fun for Lancs, but the convicts are a different kettle of fish. I would, however like to see KP go in at 3. I'm sure Pietersen is due a big score in this tournament.
South Africa losing to Bangladesh means the door to the semi finals is now wide open.

Both Vaughan and Strauss have chopped onto their stumps playing short deliveries. 24-2, terrible start.

strauss was looking good till that.
yet again the openers completely fail... perhaps we should open with freddie?

164-2 becomes 167-4. Here begins the collapse again probably.
