Jonathan Dunn was spotted captaining Substance in the Wearside Combination League by former Sunderland player, Tore Andre Flo.
He invited the 20-year-old team captain to Italy and train with Siena, and the young player is now working with the first team squad.
The Daily Mirror reports Dunn has until Christmas to break into the line-up.
Jonathan, from Tunstall, Sunderland, said: "It really is every young footballer's dream come true. You look at teams we are playing, AC Milan, Juventus. It's unbelievable."
