Orient deal for Ling
Leyton Orient caretaker boss Martin Ling will remain in charge at Brisbane Road until Christmas.
<span style='color:blue'>Chairman Barry Hearn had been expected to name a new manager on Monday, but has delayed a decision after some promising results under Ling.
"I'm delighted that I have been offered the job for another couple of months to prove that I have the credentials to do the job," said Ling.
"I have another two months to prove to everyone that I am up to the task."
Hearn made the announcement after Saturday's poor 1-1 draw with Northampton.
"I was in a quandry about the decision, it would have helped if I had seen a better game against Northampton," Hearn told BBC London.
"But, I looked back over the six games that Martin Ling has been involved in and I have to judge over those six games, three wins, two draws and one defeat is promotion form at our level, that's not bad."
He added: "Although I wasn't convinced enough to offer him a long term deal, I was convinced enough to offer him the chance to show me what he can do up until Christmas."
Ling took over at the club following the departure of Paul Brush in September.</span>
