Adult actress Tera Patrick can speak fluent Hungarian and is a registered nurse.
Peter Mayhew, best known as Chewbacca, was a hospital orderly at Kings College Hospital before being signed up to do Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger. With the money he made from the Star Wars films, he set up a bed frame company, later disbanded, as he was too busy doing conventions.

On the Star Wars theme, my favourite (though sad) story is about David Prowse - the body (but not the voice - that was James Earl Jones) of Darth Vader, and also the Green Cross Code man.
When contracts were being handed out, Lucas offered most of the "stars" a small salary and 0.25% of net (i.e. post studio take etc.) profits (Sir Alec Guinness took 0.5% as the only recognised star with a leading role) but a very low (couple of grand) basic salary.
Prowse turned down the profit option and went for a much higher salary (approx £70K - a lot of money in the 70s) but no cut of the profits at all.
As we all know, the Star Wars films went on to be amongst the highest grossing films of all time, making hundreds of millions of dollars. Bad move, Dave.

If you want to practice proper etiquette then tomato sauce should only be served out of one of those plastic tomato dispensers with a green plastic leaves/stalk as the nozzle. The only place you really see them these days in in greasy spoons.
Those plastic squeezy bottles get too messy around the top for my liking. I prefer the bottles myself. It's quite satisfying to give them a good thump and if by some oversight there is not enough left in the bottle to complete your chips with you can water it down a bit with vinegar.
I am the 24th person to post on this topic

An apple, onion, and potato all have the same taste. The differences in flavor are caused by their smell. To prove this - pinch your nose and take a bite from each. They will all taste sweet.

Wilma Flintstone's maiden name was Wilma Slaghoopal, and Betty Rubble's Maiden name was Betty Jean Mcbricker.
Researchers in Denmark found that beer tastes best when drunk to the accompaniment of a certain musical tone. The optimal frequency is different for each beer, they reported. The correct harmonious tone for Carlsberg Lager, for example, is 510-520 cycles per second.
A hard-boiled egg will spin. An uncooked or soft-boiled egg will not.
Beer foam will go down by licking your finger then sticking it in the beer.
Strawberry Pop Tarts may be a cheap and inexpensive source of incendiary devices. Toasters which fail to eject Pop Tarts cause the Pop Tarts to emit flames 10-18 inches in height.
