this year, the main contenders are:
Black eyed Peas- where is the love
Westlife- Mandy (why?)
busted- year 3000 (double why?)
Fat Man Scoop- Unfaithful
For me it is Fat man scoop, the song just makes you feel good and is superb.
Who do you want?

Bl**dy Westlife win it http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif Its not even their own song, and they couldn't be bothered to even sing it live. People only voted for it cos they like the song, ignoring the fact it was written by a different person.
My top 5 would be:
1. Black eyed peas-Where is the love
2. Nickelback-Someday
3. The Darkness-I believe in a thing called love
4. Fatman Scoop-Be faithful
5. R Kelly- Ignition Remix

Maybe, but then Fat Man Scoop, if you research also did not write the song himself. However i cannot see how westlife won. Then again it could have been worse, busted could have won http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Imagine the Echo then, they'd have a bl**dy field day http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Busted are even worse, dont sing live, and dont even play the guitar. Just jump around like lunatics.
Black Eyed Peas should have won it, but I've changed my second place to Blink 182 'Feeling This'-class song http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Could have been even worse...S club juniors or s club 8 could have won. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
I'd like to have seen Fat man scoop win, as his performance was brilliant and hillarious! Dont see the point of having the other guy though, he sings like two lines for the whole song! http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Oh yes they do.
P.S I think it's shocking Justin Timberland and 'Rock Your Body' didn't even get nominated (I think)

I'm not the biggest fans of Busted but at least they write their own songs! How many covers have Westlife managed to notch up? http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

None of them. The music this year was sh*te, the only decent song was Burn, Burn by the lost prophets.

Agree with u there, Chadded. Saw them last June and they were really good live - can all sing, can all play guitars and they even played the keyboard and drums as well http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Nearly all of Westlifes songs are covers, and yet they always get no.1's. Lazy buggers. All they're doing is picking good songs and releasing them again. Bloody irish g*ts!
Where is the love is a brilliant song with good lyrics, unlike most songs, where the lyrics are just about love and all that b*llocks. They should sing that song in front of Tony Blair http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
I know I criticised Busted for not usually singing live, but fair play to them they've come a long way, and they deserved Best Newcomer Award at the British Music Awards.
