Sorry but gay was pants.
Just because a player is friendly and willing to talk to the fans it doesn't mean he is any good.

Have you ever seen him play?

What planet are you on? I once spoke to Terry Fenwick and he was England's best ever defender. The way he didn't tackle Maradona in 86 was legendary.

UTTER b******s! The two are insepeparably linked. Pele would not have been even HALF the player he was if he hadn't been such a damned nice guy too. He once took the time to come round and cook me a meal, even though he was running late for the Azteca stadium in 1970. He said "no ze fans must always come first" and to be fair, although the meal was a pile of sh*t I had to respect him for his commitment.

Pele can't cook, yet always insists on doing so. One of his many foibles. (Including doing ads for Viagra)

I have seen Daniel gay play a few times at Hornchurch and he has come on leaps and bounds. He has more confidence now and would give Flaves a run for his money if he ever went back to the Hall. I am pleased for him as I am all ex-Southend players who ply their trade elsewhere.:D
