View Full Version : Works Christmas Party

As I'm bored witless, I thought I would ask my fellow SZers about their work Xmas parties.
Mine is next Wednesday ( !? ) at a pub called The St.Georges Tavern in Victoria, downstairs in the cellar bar.
Also, just for fun, name and shame the person most likely to regret the night before's antics.
Mine is a guy called Nick who works in the Commercials Dept.Every year he:
Loses an item of clothing
Loses his wallet
Pukes on someone in Management.
Surprised he's still got his job really.

I get two! First one's this Friday at a Curry House somewhere in the West-End.
Most likely to embarass themselves at this one? Me. I'm totally f**ked off with my situation at work (which is why I do f**k all), and it's quite likely that I could get pushed over the edge...
Next Friday's the other, a Thai/Chinese (get the Christmas feeling with both?!!) again in the West End - Most likely to embarass would have to be either a fellar named Peter whom I believe must have been on too much acid in the sixties he's so addled, or a guy called Chris who always tries to impress (always failing miserably), and I can imagine him trying to keep up!

Mine is a few Fridays time at London Zoo- black tie.
Not looking forward to it as can't stand most people who work here. Ah well.
Person most likely to embarrass themselves- Paul Scott, who lives in Grays, a West Ham fan, who always misses the last train or falls asleep on said train and has to sleep on Southend Beach...

Friday 19th at The Sugar Club - starting at 2pm and then going on into the evening - it could get messy and to be honest, I'm the one most likely to embarrass themselves. Fell asleep in the toilet last year after puking - I'm such a lady! http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I have 2.
First is next tuesday evening (6 onwards) at some restaurant with the entire company therefore all free. Won't be too bad - meal, booze, casino tables, but as i arrive back from vegas that morning i doubt i'll be arsed enough to go.
Second one is next thursday with my team, where we will be heading to Tiger Tiger from 1 in the afternoon. Free Meal and Booze until about 7ish (when the credit card is put back in pocket) and then we just carry on getting ****ed up west end.
All this obviously just a warm up for the Saturday Xmas party for us Pro footballers!!

Big do this Thursday at Finsbury Square, about 600 people going with various types of entertainment available. Not athat I'll be doing any of them, the bar provides more than enough entertainment for me.
Team lunch next Thursday, out at 1pm and no doubt on and on and on with my boss buying copious amounts of champagne as ever.
Embarassment? Will have to be Nick (who some of you met on Saturday), always makes a complete arse of himself wherever we go.

A big hotel in Manchester with 300 dirty mancs!!! Lots of Booze and food, and with that amount of northerners about, it could well be me misbehaving http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Will that be in the shanty town that has been erected on the bowling green.

Big do this Wednesday at Finsbury Square, untold number of people going, however it is only for the IT Side of the company. I will not be making arse out of myself as I wont be going. Can't stand Company bashes especially ones you have to wear a suit to.
I only wear suits for Weddings, Funerals and the 1st interviews.

I appear to have a few... big one is tonight, at the Honourable Artillery Company in the City. Firm wide bash, so a cast of thousands will be there. And they really go to town - there'll be a trainees review, a live music act (Kylie tribute last year - very nice) and dodgems, as well as loads of grub & booze. A pretty good party, it must be said. Most likely to embarrass themselves? No idea, although the boss can get a bit "friendly" with the ladies...
There's also: lunch tomorrow with our secretaries - should be low-key; lunch with all the assistants in our department on Tuesday, which should be a bit livelier; a deparment-wide drinks party on the Wednesday which I can't go to (girlfirend's birthday - so I'll be out drinking anyway!) and finally lunch with one of my partners and her immediate team on Thursday.
Then an Xmas party on the Friday, off to my Gran's on Saturday (Norfolk), and off to my parents' on Sunday (Qatar).
Oh, and I'm best man at a wedding this weekend. So, pretty quiet really...

I've got 2, maybe 3 this year.
Had one already at Noble House with Tescos. To make things even better, Waitrose, the one by Cookoo Corner, was there too. I've never seen so many bleached blonde, loud, proper Essex girls in one room of a restaurant before! F this and F that, i felt i was back in Vange http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Had a laugh, i ended up doing Karaoke with a guy i work with and for once i didnt get drunk!
Going to another one Friday in a Hotel up Docklands, that should also be really good. It's with a load of Sales, Marketing and Finance peeps so i'll have to behave myself http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Sounds about right. I don't really care what it's like as long as I get faced. Room booked in the Novotel so don't even have to worry about trains....

Mine's tonight at Sound Republic off of Leicester Square. Usual free bar and food etc and some band.
Biggest tit at the xmas party? wouldn't know first one i've been with at this company, but got a good feeling that alot of breasts will be on show judging by some of outfits being talked about by the women, "anyone got any boob tape for tonight?" music to my ears.

Got a black-tie affair at Prism tomorrow.
Then next Tuesday I've been invited to my old department's Xmas party at the Brewery, Chiswell St.
The following night its Xmas drinks, didn't bother looking where (odds on favourite will be the Corney & Barrow).
I'm already fearing the hangovers.

Unfortunately working for the Public Sector we don't get a Xmas Do's paid for like some of you (and I'm guessing that you'd be none to pleased if your tax did pay for it) so we are just heading for a meal down the Strawberry Field's which will probably be rather uneventful!

My work do is on the 19th at a local pub. Food paid for by the Chairman (awww aint he nice http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif ) but drinks we have to pay for ourselfs.
Person most likely to make a complete utter tit of themselves is probably me, coz I am almost half the age of most of the other people who work there and I'm a huge lightweight!!!

This friday will be a really bad evening to breakdown in South Essex because the pride of the industry will be getting totally sh*t-faced. Due to a double booking we are also getting free/cheap drinks. Most likely arse candident is probably the accounts bod or anyone out of the workshop. Us controllers are so much more reserved, as anyone who knows me will confirm.

Oh, and just been invited to an after-works party in Camden, ending at 5am. So luckliy i can now get the first train home Saturday rather than the last train Friday. Alas, it's on the 19th, so things could be messy come the curry night...

I to have the delights of working for a company who refuse to pay for any sort of event. We get (forced) to go to the local pub for a crimbo dinner which we have the priviledge of paying for ourselves to spend time with people we don't even like http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif , must grumble!!

Ours was at the Waldorf Thursday night
As usual I didn't go - it was a black tie event and I hate them.
If I want to dress up and look a tw*t I'll buy myself an Arsenal shirt and start slagging northerners off.
