View Full Version : A Megaphone - Would it work?

I feel that the noise levels are definitely on the up, but due to poor acoustics etc we tend to sing out of sync or even different songs entirely!..

So in true Italian style I am contemplating purchasing a megaphone to get us all in tune together...

What do you think?

Im not quite sure, but I do think they are banned from UK football ground's? :confused:

Yes, go for it, unless they're banned as mentioned above.

Try & go for a smaller one, not one of those huge things a la Village Fete style! :p

there is nothing more irratating then someone on a mega phone, when watching barca or real madrid its all you hear sometimes! I believe they are banned from grounds though

go for it smiffy with a megaphone you may even get the south sining the same song at the same time as the west!! i think it really work although you would have the right person on it i.e. no one with a irritating voice

(not trying to incinute you have at all)

haha ok then all sining the same song, i have been siting in the west stand so didnt think twice about writting it that way.... but to be honest somtimes you get half the singing one song and the other singing another so megaphone is a top idea....

I will operate it.. there is a lot of things i have always wanted to shout down a mega phone.. this is a great chance to do that...

Just to clear this up .Megaphones are not allowed at any UK grounds at all...

Mate.....I think that TBV is a great concept but maybe a bit of "back to earth clarity" is needed here, you are not going to get the F.A. to change there regulations......unfortunately neither TBV, Ron Martin or Southend United have the clout to make the Football association decide to make all grounds in all football leagues to now allow Megaphones..........

Although this is one instant that i so want to be proved wrong on

I can only find one reference on t'internet to megaphones not being allowed in football stadia - and that only applies to Bayern Munich's stadium

I would guess that they are covered by the blanket exclusion which has seen the demise of football rattles , full drink bottles etc

i thought someone had a rattle on saturday.....although that could have been cricko counting his pension money at the back of the west.
