What can I say?
Get in there! Ave it! at last.....
We have broke the duck and about time, the football today in the first half was what we have been looking for in the last few weeks in Training and on the pitch.Pass and move , short triangles, give and go, and for most of the firts half we did this and it works..... and it resulted in our best move and goal from Snowy.
Everyone played there part and I feel that as this is our first win I would like to nominate the whole TEAM for man of the match.
On the down side the second half was not what we want to doing, we lost our shape and stopped all the passing that we did in the first half, and this was not just down to fitness. If we had played a team that was not made up with other players from our team we could have folded and let in a few goals, we were never going to loose this game but we did not go on and kill the other team off, we have to learn that fancy flicks and tricks on the ball looks great in training and would look even better on Sky Sports but if we do not take are chances when we get them we will not get away with it next year in the league.
All in all a great time to get are fist win and the football in the first half shows what we can do, the hard part will be to take this into training and onto the pitch in the next game and keep this way of playing going.
Last but not least well done to the guys who played for Sutton, Tony Leeboy Tod and Ben, can't be easy playing against your own team and I thought all of you played well and all got 90 mins of football and a goal for Shrek.
Well done all, Thanks GNH for Reffing and as part of the management team I was proud of you all.
