The first friendly of season 2008-09 over, so how about some feedback from those that went, for instance:
Did anyone go by public transport/cab?
Any problems by Road?
Did you get wet, how much cover was there?
What were the local pubs like?
Did they have a club house what was it like?
Etc. etc.
Really any comments good or bad that we can store away and resurrect next year when we will inevitably play GWR again.

I drove to the game, and found no problems by road. Yes I did get wet, even sitting in the stand. Didn't check out the local pubs but there only seemed to be one open when I passed. Yes theres a club house, but very long queues for food were observed. Overall a nice atmosphere at the ground but the weather really did have an effect today!

I used public transport from Brentwood to Southend Vic. which ran fine and on time, bar having to slow between Rochford and Prittlewell due to 'children playing on the railway line'. Got picked up by a mate (irregular poster on here, sufc is for life not just cardiff or something) and we experienced no problems, although i don't know what southend is usually like on wednesday night when it is ****ing diwn with rain! A good day out!
Parking wan't the easiest. No other comment, really.
