Canvey, Basildon, Vange? There has been a lot of heated debate about which is the pikiest but just what is the pikiest place in the region?

To throw my hat into the ring I think it is Hullbridge.

Wouldn't say Canvey (as a place) was that pikey to be fair - its just full of very strange people who bring it down to pikey status. I hate the place with a passion though....

Hey! I lived in Barking for 7 years and now i live in Vange!

Assuming that last dig(barstable) was aimed at me, do you seriously think i'm gonna take housing advice from someone who, in the previous sentence, has described both Barking and Vange as 'nice' ?

Did i say Barking was nice now?!! It's a sh*tole now, but was lovely in the 80's and 90's.

'Nice' part of Vange? Well, I've lived here for over 30 years and haven't yet found it. Perhaps you mean the zebra crossing at the Barge. Or the field adjoining the rail line at Kent View Road.

I'm a Littlethorpe Lad having been a Byfletts Boy in my formative years.

Proudly made it into Vange United's first ever Under 8's team in an historic 2-2 draw at Warley. We used to train there and play at Bardfield. Now Warley, that team were REAL pikeys!
