I thought best to start a new thread for this game as it is a bit clearer now.

Also before you book we need to know match ticket arrangements which should be on the OS soon.

Our “Chums” from Telford tell us that Wellington is the nearest station, about 10 minutes from the ground.

Basically two ways to go going to Wolverhampton and changing takes about 2 hours 45 minutes, or there are trains from Marylebone where you don’t have to change but it takes about half an hour longer, here’s times and prices:

OFF PEAK RETURNS are £42.80 may be your best bet as you can choose from all trains on the day, cheaper fares at available at £24,(if you don't mind an early start £26, £31 or £33 but only on certain trains

If you want the cheaper fare get in quick, the off peak return should be available on the day but probably best to book earlier if you can.

A little bit of extra info thaks to nick-the-numpty from SoL

Might be worth noting the following if you are travelling on the 8.17 from Marylebone and/or returning on the 18.21 from Wellington. These trains are operated by a fairly new company called "Wrexham & Shropshire" and they only have two standard class carriages and one 1st class carriage on each service.

0817 from Marylebone has increased from £14 to £24 advance single.
10.38 and 11.17 from Euston cheapest is now off peak return at £42.80.

The 11.37 gets into Wellington at 14.10 which is cutting it fine, being pay on the day and any delays on the trains you could have problems.

Probably £42.80 off peak returns the best option now, with a choice of trains as opposed to £31 on the dubious 11.37 or £36 if you leave at the Crack of dawn.

Price increases:
11.37 Euston arrives 14.10 Wellington cheapest now available - off peak return
18.35 Wellington arrives 22.34 Euston increased from £12 to £19 advance single (as cheapest outward fare is £24 an off peak return would be cheaper).

So quite simply;
If your prepared to get the 08.17 from Marleybone you can still get a cheaper return either £36 or £38 (returning on the 19.35 or the 18.21).

OR MORE SENSIBLY
get an off peak return at £42.80 and have the choice off whatever train suits you.
