Guys and girls,

When pay day finally arrives, I'm thinking of splashing out and buying myself an Ipod Touch. Wanted to get one for Christmas, but decided against it in the end, so I thought I'd treat myself now.

I wanted to know if anyone on here had one, or has a mate thats got one. What are they like? Where is the best place to buy one? Are they worth the money? Can you play films on then?

Any information on them would be much appreicated.

I have one and it's great. They have a decent amount of space and you can play movies and go on the internet if you have wireless connection. There are loads of good apps you can get for it such as Tap Tap Revenge and fastlane street racing. You can also download songs from Itunes from the Ipod. Definatley worth buying.

definitely worth getting, unless you need a new phone too, then i would suggest the iPhone

Go for it. Got mine from Argos, good price. You can go on YouTube where there's a WiFi connection, any website you like at all. You can watch films, go on Facebook/MySpace, listen to all of your music (loads of storage). Podcasts etc. The designs nice and the video quality is awesome.

You can get them quite cheap on amazon, the 8gb is £152.50.

I've got a 16GB 1st gen. Had it over a year now and I love it! I've got a fair amount of Apps on mine aswell as about 13GB of music. If I was to change my iPod I'd get another one, but I'd go for the 32GB one!

I have got one, it's great. I use it everyday to come on SZ and it's great. You can watch movies on it that you download on iTunes of that you download and then put into iTunes. It's definitely worth having, you can use it to go on the web, check your email, weather forecasts, MySpace, Facebook, football scores and news, listen to music, watch videos, youtube. It is basically a very small and very useful computer. I think you can now also download a new package that has word, excel, powerpoint, etc. on it, that's what I have heard anyway. You should get one, definitely worth the money!

Love mine, superb. Does everything you want other than have everything the iPhone has. Get the iPhone if you can. Does everything the touch can, and a lot lot more.

They are fantastic. I fly a lot and play games, music, watch movies to keep me occupied. It's essentially a PDA too if you need contacts, calendar etc.

Only watch out - Apple have just released an updated operating system for the iphone & touch. iphone users get it free but us poor touchies have to pay for the updates which irks me somewhat.

So when you buy one make sure it's got the OS 3.0 installed

I own a Touch and they're pretty nifty but if I was in the market for a new one I'd probably go for a Cowon iAudio S9, reviewed here >

I got the latest version for my Birthday a couple of months back and I love it. A fantastic thing to have. I've got an original 40gb photo one from 4 years ago, so I share my use between the 2 as obviously the Touch has so many extras on it.

Believe the parents got it from Amazon, so I'd head there.
