Henry Winter wrote in his column in Four Four Two magazine that Southend v Chelsea was one of his favourite games this year, mainly due to the effervescence of the home fans so well done!

Good to hear.

Think we have all done well, especially towards the back end of this season.

The atmosphere has definitely improved in my opinion.

Yesterday was another good example. When was the last time a conga was seen in the West Stand?!..

Let's see if we can raise it a few more notches next campaign.

I think the atmos at roots hall has improved a fair bit this season, I especially think that the west stand has been excellent at times thanks to the bods in TBV starting us all off, also this seems to get other parts of the ground going too, excellent work

Thanks for the kind words and thanks to those who came up to us after the game in the West stand Vs Cheltenham and congratulated us on our efforts this season.

The improvement is there in the West Stand, we just need to find a way of breaking down the acoustic wall and transferring this noise to the rest of the stadium. The only way to do that is if we fill Block W every single game next season. Come and join us!!

move down the front of the seats.... the noise will travel better across the pitch ... saying that the atmosphere this year from the west and south upper has got alot better, when we are on TV loads of mates from my work who watched us also say Southend Fans are a noisy lot

I know there are endless slatings of TBV and disagreements etc. but it really has improved the atmosphere and i'll be glad to come and join the west next year to get behind the team!

Our fans aren't that stupid and won't sing unless were doing quite well (in theory) so it's never going to be easy, but a fantastic effort by all again this season.. Well done all ;)

I bought the magazine at the airport and saw the same thing. Elsewhere in the magazine was an article about Torino, and it mentioned at one of the games against Juve that the Torino fans all wore bibs which were Maroon on the Front and White on the back.... all the fans turned their backs to the field and then in something similar to a Mexican wave they turned around one by one..... sounded pretty cool and would definately be something im sure TBV could try
