Yep, massive plumes of black smoke, roads closed an' all. All credit to Hutton for a safe journey to and from Hull, couldn't believe the traffic on the way up though -kept moving but constant lorry manouveuring.

Went to Hull by SoL coach, no dramas getting there. Stadium was good with betting facilities and a reasonable foodbar, programmes at £2 were a bit threadbare. Match was decent enough, obviously the result could have gone better (but at least i got 6 points in the prediction league for this result). Thought we showed real character and played really good stuff in the 2nd half. So much so that we were obviously dangerous enough to entice some of their big gun players off of the bench to make the game safe for them.
Got home to Southend at 2.45am.
Another ground ticked off of the list, not sure i'd return.

Made my second trip with Sol up to Hull, nice travel up there, got home about 3:00am roughly, should have won the game though.

We found a nice part of Hull!!

Admittedly, it was only one street and we only stumbled upon it because my mate who I was with was craving Indian food and wouldn't give up walking until we found somewhere that sold it. So next time we go to Hull, whenever that is, and you want to make a day of it, check out Princes Avenue which is where Hull hides it's decent restaurants and pubs.
