Norwich by train an excellent trip on a Saturday but a lot harder work midweek.

From Southend:
For example:
Southend Vic 16.06 Shenfield 16.38
Shenfield 16.54 Ipswich 17.47
Ipswich 17.59 Norwich 18.42

Norwich 22.00 Shenfield 23.36
Shenfield 23.40 Southend Vic 00.15

It’s been some time since I’ve been to Norwich by train, is getting the 22.00 feasible?
If not it’s tomorrow morning.

Fares:
If you can leave earlier the cheaper it gets if you can get the 14.46 it’s £16 with two advance singles, on the train above £26 outward £8 back.

From London.
Liverpool Street 17.00 Norwich 18.42
Back as above (I can’t believe the last train for Norwich is 22.00)
On the above trains fares £26 out £8 back, but if you can get the 3.00 train £8

The 22.00 back is quite "doable". The station is less than a 15 minute walk from the stadium.:clap:

If FOUR people are travelling from Southend the return fare is £73.40 i.e £18.35 each on most trains.

If your travelling from London and you cam get the 16.00 outward train is only £16 advance single.

The advance single fare are unchanged but the 4 for the price of 2 from Southend now seems to have gone up to £88 for four i.e £22 each
