As i Do not know the area of Southend particularly well could someone please inform me how long a walk from the central or victoria station would be? or would you need to get a form of transport from there.
is it closer to go to southend east for example?
Aye thank you...

I think I would say Prittlewell station to roots hall x2 would be a fiar judgement on the distance so I still think alot of people would use the train!

Yes its only about twice the distance from prittlewell station but there are ideas of buses from both statins i think!

its twice as far to get to the roundabout on the A127.. i reckon its more like 4 times as far from prittlewell station.. i am assuming fossets farm is the area of land on the far side of that new road (b1013) in fact it may be nearer 5 times as far

Well that really is a sh*te name for a footy ground, nearly as bad as the mccain stadium.
See you monkeyf**kers later.

Well i reckon the distance from Prittlewell Station to Roots Hall is 0.39 miles and from Prittlewell Station to Fossetts Farm is 1.12 miles.
And for me it means nearly a mile less to travel so i am all for it http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

yeah but it is being built on land that was used for burning witches,
in fact General Fossett was the lead in the Essex trials.

You assume wrong. Very wrong! In fact you've gone in the wrong direction! Fossetts Farm is an area of land behind Waitrose on the A1159 Eastern Avenue towards Shoeburyness. As the crow flies, it's about a mile NE of the current Roots Hall stadium ...

Who gives a sh*t from our perspective, Mike? Roots Hall or FF. Both are too bloody far to walk, bus or train it.

If there are no boozers near by, surely that just encourages Southend United and opposing fans to drink in the bar at the ground so that can surely mean good news for the Club. Of course I'm assuming the new ground will have a pub in it somewhere.
