Crumbs, had no idea they were in such dire straits, financially. *Of all people to be owing money to, the one in whose debt you don't want to be is "Her Maj", in the form of Her Maj's Inland Revenue, and Her Customs & Excise...

That's because, alas, it is standard Revenue / C&E policy to apply for a winding up order if a tax-payment strategy cannot be worked out; and a winder leads either to administration, or to liquidation.

A ten point deduction would leave Grimsby on 23 points and 22nd place, two points and one place above Kiddy - who are in the relegation zone. *Not a nice place to be in the league (after all, we spent a long time there last season).

Incidentally, looking at the table a moment ago made me think one thing: I reckon we're safe from the drop this season, you know...

Oh, and it has to be said... Cambridge look f*cked at the moment...

I agree with MtS (all this agreeing is becoming boring).

You don't want to owe money to someone whose boys goes round in Nazi uniform, as you know that they'll get their money in the end and it'll be painful.

a lot of clubs seem to have debts with Inland Revenue, we had one ourselves.

bloody gits, grimsby offered a re-payment package and they said no, what more can grimsby do? they can't afford to risk going in to administration as MTS pointed out.
