Now, I'm not a twit, so I really don't see what this facility can add to the zone, but if there are people out there who are going to use it and appreciate it then that's fine.
But my beef is why does this word "tweets" have to follow me everywhere I go on the zone? There are lots of functions and different things you can do on this website, with more and more to come, which helps to make it the great place it is, but they are all accessed in certain ways in certain places, at the top of a page, bottom of a page, only on a certain page etc.
So what makes the twits so special that I have to have this blasted thing on the left of my screen no matter where I am on the Zone? I'm not interested in the facility, so would prefer to have the option to remove the word tweets from my Zone experience. I'm sure the twits would be able to cope with having the word "tweets" written clearly for them in just one place, like on the navigation bar or something, wouldn't they?

I'm with Southampton and OBL on this.
I also think the website should look more like an Excel spreadsheet.

The positioning of "The Tweets" is done by Twitter themselves and we are unable to move them from their current position.I am sure people will get used to them in time. We can't please everybody all of the time but we try our best..:)

Ok, I worked out - finally (thanks Barbie, and ESB, I'm not happy with you!!!) - how to stop them but then bugger me when you return to the site or someone else tweets, there they are again. There really should be a facility to disable this function until you wish to employ it yourself.

I never use the Chat room, yet somehow I get by despite the button being there at the top taunting me everytime I look at the zone.

The tweet function is slightly less annoying on firefox, because it is lower down the screen. On internet explorer it covers over the new post button.

I use firefox anyway. On my Linux at home, it has trouble loading. Not that SZ has many Linux users.

And having just looked at the 94 (no, you didn't reach 100) I think you're all evil ****ers and I really don't know why I bother doing anything for any of you. The bain marie is for YOUR SZ football teams' tournament on Sunday, yet how many of you are part of that that are poking fun at me? That is all I am for the majority of you, someone to endlessly poke fun at, wind up and have a pop at.
Thank you very much indeed, I won't bother helping any of you in the future.

I'm pretty certain that internet grooming isn't permitted under SZ rules (and if it isn't, it should be), so please desist from it.

But what is it about my "style" that is different? The only reason is because I'm female and dare to have an opinion on subjects that are traditionally male provinces, and that, my dear Pubey, is pure sexism. A joke is a joke and I've taken enough of them on here but things go too far, and suddenly it's my fault? I don't think so.

Wahey so now you're playing the sexism card! You are a women, but just because people disagree with your views doesn't make them sexist. There are plenty of other female posters on here, but you're the only one I've heard saying people are sexist. It's fairly male-focussed, but that's because I'd guess at least 90% of the posters are male... but again, that doesn't make a place sexist any more than it makes Southend United Football Club sexist.

I'm not, I'm saying maybe that is the reason, and Roxy, Southend Lady, Tinks, Hils and probably others have all suffered different sexist remarks at time, that I DO know! I'm trying to work out WHY it's MY posting style that seems to offend and cause that kind of reaction - I've never noticed any of the other women being called a "nob".

You'll have to ask Leathers20 that.
Anyway, back on topic...
Loving the Tweets feature, having the match updates on twitter was really useful because I wasn't at the game and it's so much easier to check twitter than to load up webpages or forums.
One way to make them even better would be to have a matchtime stamp on each tweet, for example:
(83mins) #Southend 0 - 1 #Stockport. shot from edge of box by Donnelly
(90+5), 1-1, Luggy Jr taps in from close range

Thanks for the feedback Pubey. I'll be looking to do them from Aldershot on Saturday as well and will give that a try. Alas I don't think I'll be at too many games over the coming weeks so may go hunting for some volunteers.
In fact, anyone fancy having a go tomorrow night? PM if so, all responsible candidates considered!
