Very clearly couldn't cope with the "demand" ... dissapointing but hopefully this will be eradicated in the near future. The chat room was awful which is a pity as its always nice to have a natter on their for away games, especially the one's we win!

Well this is quite bizarre as we now run on our own dedicated server and do not share with anybody else to cause an overload (so's to speak).... We set it up to take into account at least 1000 members logging on at any one time.Very odd and no real reason why it should suddenly slow up..

We will look into it.

Why the chat room alone? If it was running slow it would effect all areas of the Zone.

I meant my guess would be that it's the chat-room that is slowing down the Zone.

Wasn't this the first game since the chat-room's been back?

It was and the chat room had a 3 minute lag but Ken was around and getting equally as frustrated with it so im sure the guys are well aware of the comings and goings!

The chat room had been tested prior to Saturday's match and was working fine. Perhaps someone can play in the chat room later when the match is on and let us know if the site runs slowly again.

Second match in a row, amazingly enough only at match-times the rest of the time its fine

Hard to a) connect to site (get timed out on firefox)
b) load any forum pages

Very odd but we have now added more Cache memory as it seems the server thought there were 2000 people logging on at the same time when it was in fact the same people refreshing their page..The more if was refreshed the slower it became...Hopefully problem solved now.

I don't understand it but will report to the server guys again!..It was slow Tuesday night as well.

It would pay the server company to monitor the site during matches to ensure correct speed of delivery. I will suggest this course of action.
