I know the feeling mrB I am going 4-5-1 pressing to try and keep the score down in my game !
Shrimperzone F.C. will be entertaining Camb Utd this week at the Super Roy McDonough Stadium.
He lost 2-0 at home last week but has 23.5 stars with 10 men whereas I had 24 stars with 11 (winning 6-0 away). He was relegated last year so I see this as a real test of whether I am likely to meet a top 3 target for the season. My 4-5-1 experience is now solid so it's a toss up between this and 4-4-2. Hard to tell if I have any defensive pops this week until I get home this afternoon.

Oh dear http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/oops.gif Looks Napster's boys took a beating.
Bender's Boozers - Napster United 5 - 1
Arena: Bender's Boozers Arena
Crowd: 2771
2771 spectators had come to Bender's Boozers Arena this cloudy day. Benders had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Harrad - Isles, Caine, MacDonaill, Rush - Keats, McLennan, Cargill, Lewis - Torres, Gupta.
Napster started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Liu - Schumann, Kaiser, Halliwell, Hatton - O'Hara, Duthie, Moreland, Christopher - Macdonald, Cranshaw.
Sean Kaiser received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 17:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score. In the 28:th minute an unfortunate play by Mark Harrad gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but Sean Kaiser, finding himself alone with the keeper, was unable to take advantage of the situation. Benders's Alan McLennan scored 1 - 0 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net. The referee showed Benderss Matthew Cargill the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Napster were forced to a substitution as Forest Schumann couldn´t continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing Andrew Ali to come in from the sidelines. A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 37 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Benders. However, Duncan Liu made a spectacular save. Napster got a chance to level the score as Erik Moreland suddenly found himself free with the goaltender but the finishing shot hit the bar. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Benders held the ball, with a clear 54 percent possession rate.
Benders put their lead ahead another goal as Deion Torres struck home the 2 - 0 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper. In the 75:th minute Benders put themselves up 3 - 0. The visitors defenders lost the ball to Alan McLennan coming up from the left, who proceeded to cooly round the goaltender and knock the ball home. The structure of the game started to change as Benders decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. In the 79:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as David Rush dashed through, knocking home 4 - 0 for Benders. Benders put their lead ahead another goal as Danny Gupta struck home the 5 - 0 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper. Matthew Cargill was suffering from cramps and had big difficulties keeping up as the opponentes pushed forward. Stephen Duthie had no problems getting through and hit home the 5 - 1 goal. Duncan Liu had a lethal looking free kick grazing the post in the 86:th minute. Benders, bringing the final ball possession rate to 53 percent, dominated the battle.
Benders´s best player was Danny Gupta. Alan McLennan on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Napster player was Joshua Halliwell. Andrew Ali on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 1.
