OK. Lets make this easier ...
MID-WEEK TRAINING
Its going to be a Wednesday, remember chaps. Thats what we voted for.
1. Do we want 1 hour or 2 hours?
2. What time shall we start? What time would be best for you?
Outside at Garons (at £12 an hour) looks favourite so far.
IMO we should go for the 2 hour option. You can't get f**k all done in 1 hour. £24 - charge everyone normally training rate (£1 and £2) - means we wont lose money.
Get back and vote or reply a.s.a.p as i want to get this sorted before the meeting on Monday.
Thank you!

As before, anytime after seven, but I may not be able to do Wednesdays (though I may be able to change days on my Kickboxing).

Kev the 5 a side pitches outside Garons aren't the best, if you've got more then ten people turning up then I would have thought I would be too cramped todo any worth while training.
Just a thought, oh and anytime after 7 is fine with me http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

after 8 for me.
wouldn't it be better to book the inside hall at Garons as it is bigger, or what about Boots and Laces.

I had brought up about using Boots & Laces many times in the Committee meetings but hey what do i know. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif The reason given to look elsewhere was that it was thought indoors would be a better option during the winter months. No chance of it being called off due to adverse weather unless of course the place is cut off due to flooding ,blizzard, or earthquake
Also has anyone queried about using the pitches at Boots & Laces?? Something else I have brought up at the meetings. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

OK. I get the hint, I'll ring B&L ...
Inside at Garons its 40 quid an hour and it's not huge. There are also 2 pitches outside, which we can use if there is a big number of us. I just thought it would be 4/5 a side (with 3 teams) and just rotating round playing 5 mins each game. Winner stays on. Improved passing, finishing and allows you to put maximum effort in short bursts as one team has to lose at some stage eventually. Before that fitness work. You are never going to get in any good training at these kind of places. Its all about building for next season, and using the outside facilities at Garons is cheap, hard-wearing and gives us what we need.
As i said, i'll give B&L a call sometime and also Garons to see if its available on Wednesday (inside), which i doubt it will.......
This is still valid though, good to seen what time we're going to make training from. 8PM looks like the best bet at the moment!

If yo want i will give them a call!

Used to train at at SRC with my old team, it's a good venue. I can't do Wednesdays until August, at which time 8pm is the earliest I can make.

It shouldn't be that much. I think it's just under 30 for the hour, but then you do get half of the indoor court, which, if you get more than 20 people, would be too small.
If it is 40, then feck me, I'm ashamed to work for that company.

It is massive, i used to train with my old team, the only drawback was you usually only got an area the size of a 5-a-side. So you could end up training with 5-6 other teams.
One plus was that a girls team used to train there at the same time and they surprisingly were not your dm wearing dyke types. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif (now to get flamed by the footie playing females on this site) http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
9PM is good for me, as i only get back from London at about 7ish, and have to have dinner and get from Benfleet to Southend.
However, one hour is probably my best bet as well, as i have to get back to Benfleet and be up at 6am on the Thursday.

Jack,
8.30pm-10pm on a Wednesday would be great. How much would it cost for 1 or both pitches? Im sure we would take up the option of both pitches so we have lots of room as i'd imagine we's have at least 12 people at training regularly ...

Cheerz. Just give us 2 quotes (1 for half) (1 for all) and that would be great.

Kev we used to have about 15 of us in a half which was more than adequate. It really is a big old pitch, played a 10 a side game once on it and the space everyone got was unbelievable (and we were all dead by the end!).
