ShrimperZone FC wheel out the trusty 5-4-1 against Quackers. I reckon we should pull about 26/27 stars as our reserve team isn't much different in ability from our first XI (ie they're both crap!).

We've never won a friendly in 6 months of playing, will that change this week?

26/27 stars = Crap?! Oh Dear. I think you're on for you're first friendly win!

I'm going with 5-4-1 too so it should be exciting! *http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/ghostface.gif

Shrimperzone F.C.s battle lines have already been drawn for the visit of Rochford FC. Despite Birri's posturing SZFC enter this game very much as the underdogs and have selected an exciting blend of youth and experience.

Bring it on !

Pearlstars will wheel out a 20* team tonight as they look to get in a proper training week.

Sadly the game cannot be watched as an arguably more important Shrimpers game is going on tonight. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

They should make Roots Hall Wifi enabled. We could then take a couple of laptops and all sit in a big group and watch the game while keeping up to date with the imprtant stuff http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Alternatively:

1) Get the PA to announce goal updates over the tannoy

2) Get someone to make a HT Radio station and broadcast it and we can listen on Radios

3) Sign-up for match text updates to let us know when a goal goes in, then find your opponent in the crowd and laugh at them

I am sure Roots Hall is wifi enabled, just need to

A) get a certain bod to give me the details

or

B) crack the encryption

Watch out for emails regarding hacking whilst at Roots Hall. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

My team won too. My reserves won 10-1 and we were only playing with 10 men, as I sold my solid defending 19 year old youth pull for £130,000.

Wow 2-2 against Birri's mob and certainly a game of two halves both scoring & possession (0-2 56% Birri and 2-2 55% me). Unusually for me I tried out 4-4-2 with no specific tactic with 3 of the four midfielders playing offensive. I wonder if Birri had gambled on me playing 4-5-1 again ?

My guess of 22.5 stars was spot on and pleasing performances from most of my youngsters. I also only used five players from Sunday's game.

I'm destined not to win a friendly!

27 stars to 18. 101 hatstats to 68. Both midfields disastrous, both teams player experience disastrous.

Result? A comfy 3-1 win for Quackers! http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Can you think of any reason why I won? I know I can't.

I only had 3 chances and scored all 3! With only a Passable Scorer.

You were better in every department.

I only thing I noticed looking at tre stats was I had 2 'Special Events' so whether or not they both resulted in goals I don't know.

Never mind....

We are top of the league , we are top of the league!

MrB

Both special events led to goals. *Nonetheless we should have at least put up a fight. *Oh well, I'll just have to concentrate on the league instead (ie get relegated).
