Hi all nice to meet you all.
I have just aquired a lovely rare number 10 red away shirt from what I think was the 68/69 season?
It's number 10 and not being a shrimper I have no idea who used it.
I collect Southampton shirts so would like to see this go to a new shrimper home!
Please email me if your interested or even if you can help with more info on the shirt!
Thanks again all and it would be a perfect gift for Xmas or look cracking framed!

We had that badge on the shirt for 2 seasons 1968/9 & 1969/70. Over the 2 seasons the Number 10 shirt was worn by Chisnall, Best, Hamilton, Clayton, Hunt, McMillan, Garner, Kurila so take your pick.
To be honest Southend should look at buying things like this so that we can have a display of memorabilia. But sadly past club owners have never been interested in the past history of Southend & the best collections are in private hands.
Oh by the way I have a FA youth Cup single sheet programme Southend v Southampton from a few years ago with Matthew LeTissier in the line up (also Francis Belani) want to swap it for that:smile:

People who I've passed this information on to are sceptical about the authenticity of the shirt, any info as to provenance? Considering its age, it does look in remarkably pristine condition.

If a fake, it could be potentially very good business. Knock them up for about £15. Sell them between £50 and £200 as a rare away shirt.
Do this for for all the British clubs, this time next year he'll be a Millionaire.

It's not a fake.
It's not in pristine condition
For someone who knows what they are talking about you will not its not fake.
I have a email from the guy I got it from stating it's history.
All materials are the correct materials for the age and not like modern remakes.
It's ex actually how it should be and is 100% a player match shirt.
No offence guys, but who would waste there time faking a Southend shirt! Hahah I think not.
I welcome any inspection from anyone.
Fake. Cheeky git
Like I keep saying. I have now better photos if you want to see them just ask, rather that assuming its a fake because you know totally nothing about football shirts.
