0-0 full time, we improved our possession rate to 26% this week! The main thing is we restricted them to 1 chance and they didn't take it. We're now up to 4 points though the leader has stated his intention not to go for promotion for at least 3 seasons so I'm really not sure I want to stay here!

My worst ever defeat since I started Hattrick. I was playing top of the league and got beaten 9-0! I actually had one of my best ratings (34.5 stars) but the opposition had 5-6 stars for virtually all their players. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Also got my first formidable defender in the update on Friday. He needn't of bothered for all the good the defence did!

Can't wait to get relegated and start playing some easier teams again.

Crabby you should try the patented SZFC 5-4-1 all out defence formation. You won't score any goals but they'll have a bloody hard job scoring against you!

5-4-1 pressing, wing backs, wingers, IM's and forward all playing defensive. You can PiC as your midfield rating doesn't matter. If you have a decent set pieces player you might just nick a goal.

I will probably still go down out of choice but I've picked up 4 points from the last two matches and if I really went for it I could probably get myself a qualifier by drawing all my games 0-0 http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Incidentally, the current leader of my division issued a press announcement saying he did not want to promote. To make sure of this he fielded a 1-3-0 formation this week (so a walkover for the other team). Actually I did start playing 5-4-1 in the last couple of friendlies. Still seem to concede a few though. I've only got a Solid keeper though - should I look to buy excellent?

I'm considering changing my 4-4-2 tactic. I don't really want to, but it's clearly not working.

I wish the team that just beat me had played 1-3-0

Looks like market value, if you'd waited a couple of weeks you could probably have picked something up cheaper, the market prices drop in the second half of the season.

My excellent scoring/weak passing 23yo forward cost me £190k last season.

Well i won 2-1 yesterday away to a team who were above me in the league. I am now 3rd in the table. I haven't really spent too much time doing anything to my team therefore it must be due to my motivational skills!!!!

In my game I came back from losing 1-3 to win 4-3.
