Paul Sykes, a striker at Folkestone Invicta, collapsed during last nights game with Margate and despite the efforts of the Margate physio, he was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.
Terrible news.

It's frightening how often this seems to be happening in recent times.
Poor guy, poor family.

Is it the same thing as Andy Scott and Vivian-Foe?

I echo rabbloke's comments - sincere condolences to his family, and our thoughts are with them and everyone at Margate FC.

Matt, of all people misreading posts, whatever next. *http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Sykes used to play for Margate, but was at Folkestone playing only for travel expenses and no wages, which he had been doing for a few months.
The Margate physio was the first on the scene, which is why it said in my post about it. I just took it off the another site which was stating this in it's story.
