I think I speak for the rest of the team when I decline this date!
The other date may be possible though - i'm sure one of the committee will be able to supply a phone number to discuss. Kev, Lee, Naps?

Russ,
You're not registered here so I can't send you a Private Message with my phone number and I ain't doing it publicly. )there are women around and Mrs ORM will get jealous http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif )
If you can get a pitch for this Sunday 7th the answer is DEFINITELY YES ! Cost of pitch and ref to be shared - not a problem.
Us getting a team out - definitely not a problem.
Please let us know !

it's all very well saying "yes" Kev, but they would need to sort out a pitch FIRST.
Which is the problem that we keep having, Teams offering friendlies but with nowhere to play them........

Seeing as they've offered us a friendly ... i'd imagine that he has a pitch that we can use to play!! Otherwise, it would be silly, with mentioning it.

I took from Urban Kings last Saturday morning offering us a friendly on the Sunday. I said we'd have absolutely no problems getting a team out, even with the late notice, at which point their manager said btw I haven't got a pitch. He then tried and failed to get one.
This is not the first time I've had offers of games and not the first time I've turned them down because the oppos don't have a pitch. The difference with Benfleet is that we have early notice so once we know whether he has a pitch or not we can decide how to proceed from there (e.g. contact Chadded if necessary).
That's why I'm Gaffer and you're Gaffer's gofer http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I see that you are only suggesting the minor committee members there, so what about Shagster, Ken or ORM?? http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Hang on a min what is that faint cry i can hear?? Oh yeah it is Naps muttering about being the treasurer. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Anyway as the committee members know, the only person who has the responsibilty to organise matches is the Gaffer. And by the looks of it ORM is on the case. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

I was more thinking that one of these three could give them the gaffers number, and only suggested these three because out of the committee they're the ones who spend most time on here http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
Don't be so bloody picky anyway, I was only trying to help! http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

If i remember corectly the two teams that are from benfleet, play at either Woodside or Deanes school, so pretty much have pitches most weeks. I cant work out if this team plays at either but thats what im guessing.

I use to play for Benfleet FC many moons ago and they have about 5 pitches at Woodside and one at Shipwrights Drive so it shouldn't be a problem.

Yep they are. I was with them when they were South Benfleet United and then when they turned into Benfleet FC.

Thought so, thinking about it I was playing for them at the changeover too, though as I was still in the u16/17's or something they changed to Benfleet Youth FC.
Pitches won't be a problem then.
