Anyone see the article in the back of the echo yesterday?
The Sceptre league are refusing to allow teams to cancel/postpone games so that they can go to the Millennium stadium.
How's this affecting our joining?

We're not allowed to join because we're southend fans! Also, because we're not available on 21st march they felt this would affect our ability to play games on a continuous basis next season.

I dont think we will have much to worry as it will 98 years before we are faced with a similar problem.
Or we just let them know in advance every year at the start of each season that we cant play the weekend of the LDV final. Just in case. We will say it is a religious thing, lets seem them refuse us then http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Won't affect us when we're back in division 1 in 3 years.

I've ben hiding under a rock this week as all the bad press has surfaced about next Sunday (Bernie Friend plays for SORT FC hence the huge write up the other day)
hey if it was upto me then I would have just allowed the games to be called off but it wasn't and I'm in the same boat as a lot of other teams now and will just have to suck and see whatever punishment is coming our way. It's a shame as the league were building a decent reputation over the last few years but all the bad press of the 21st March has got us this week has set us back a bit, especially as the Southend Sunday League were more welcoming of the situation.
