I opened up the sports supplement in the Times today and nearly p1ssed myself laughing when I saw that Celtic threw the SPL away in the last 2 minutes of their match with Motherwell. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

The picture of Bellamy looking crestfallen on the pitch is priceless.

For me personally this was a great footballing weekend

Manure lose the cup final after 120 minutes of near total dominance. Hahahahahahahahahahaha

The Shrimpers are through to Cardiff for the playoff final - Superb

Chelsea parade the Premier$hite trophy down the New Kings Road after a 50 year wait - nice one

Celtic spunk the SPL in the last 2 minutes on the final day of the season - Absolutely priceless

Mate, I don't like the Huns much either, would've been happy for one of the Edinburgh clubs to win it, preferably Hibs. Sadly it'll never happen.

Ironically I'm going to be driving up to Edinburgh next weekend so I'll miss the playoff final. I'm leaving early so I can at least watch it on the box. I'm gutted but it's for the best, I've been to Milstad 3 times and seen 2-0 defeats every time. On the positive side at least I won't be bringing the curse that follows me around.

Sorry to hear you'll miss the game, although if it's you that the jinx, then good job! http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
My missus isn't coming this time, I suspect actually that it's her that's the jinx.

Work this week has been a nightmare with all the lovable huns crowing about their "unexpected title". One rather odious Rangers supporting female colleague (for some reason hun women only really come out of the woodwork at times like this) was down in Brighton for the weekend & couldn't understand a) why no pubs were showing the Setanta games on Sunday & b) why their success only gained the briefest of mentions in the English tabloids! Silly mare!

Totally changing the subject, have I got it right from another thread that you currently live in Bournemouth or nearby?

Yes mate, I live about three miles outside the town centre. Do you know the area well?

Yes, we've been down for visits a few times & really liked it. With a family on the way, we're thinking about possibly getting out of the big city & heading somewhere a lot more "child-friendly", Bournemouth is on our list of possible towns to relocate to.

We're both accountants. Are there lots of blue-chip companies now setting up in Dorset/Hampshire? What's the "chav" count like? Is it pretty much like the rest of the south? Any other specific local issues we should beware of?

One thought for you, though: schools are, so far as I understand it, quite a lot better north of the border...
